Confidential initial assessment

Start a recovery.

Begin with a short outline. We will confirm whether the matter appears suitable and explain the next information needed before accepting an instruction.

Before you contact us

  • The creditor and debtor are businesses
  • The invoice is due and remains unpaid
  • You are entitled to instruct recovery activity
  • You can identify the amount currently owed
  • You can explain any dispute, credit, payment or counterclaim

Prepare these records

Agreement

Contract, terms, quote, purchase order or other evidence showing what was agreed.

Invoice and account

The unpaid invoice, statement and details of any part-payment or credit.

Delivery evidence

Proof of delivery, completion, timesheets, sign-off or other performance evidence.

Correspondence

Relevant emails, reminders, promises to pay, complaints and dispute responses.

Send only a short outline initially

State your business name, the debtor’s business name, the approximate amount, when payment became due and whether the debt is disputed. Please do not attach bank details, identity documents, passwords or unnecessary personal information to an initial enquiry.

If the matter is suitable, SCC will explain how to provide the supporting records and will issue written engagement terms and authority before recovery begins.

What happens next

  1. We review the outline and may ask focused questions.
  2. We confirm whether the debt is suitable for our service.
  3. You receive the scope, authority and fees in writing.
  4. Work begins after acceptance and payment of the engagement fee.

Ready to discuss it?

Email a concise outline or contact us directly. Sending an enquiry does not itself appoint SCC or authorise recovery activity.
